Filming & Photography
Port of Newcastle requires a Notification Form to be submitted and authorised prior to any filming, photography or drone use over Port land / water.
The notification form is used to inform Maritime Industry Participants to prevent any unnecessary reporting to authorities.
Owners and operators of Critical Infrastructure in and around the port apply restrictions on the photography / filming of their respective infrastructure to protect national security, public safety, and sensitive operations. Any unauthorised photography or drone activity can be seen as suspicious by Maritime Industry Participants and will be reported to NSWP, ABF or CASA.
