You will be required to complete the Port of Newcastle Access Induction to perform any kind of work on Port of Newcastle managed land.
Companies are responsible for issuing Induction Keys to employees and must be registered for access prior.

What will I need to register my company for access to Port of Newcastle?

You will need a copy of your current public liability insurance and your workers compensation certificate (unless you are directly engaged by Port of Newcastle when you may need to provide other documentation).

How will I know if my registration was approved?

You will receive email notification from the Rapid Global system that your registration has been approved.

Is there a cost associated with registering my company for access to Port of Newcastle

There is no cost to register your company.

What if our company is using a subcontractor?

If your company is using a subcontractor to work on Port sites they must be registered separately for access.

How do I get inducted for access to Port of Newcastle sites?

Your employer must first register with Port of Newcastle and they are responsible for issuing you with an Induction Key via email to complete the online induction.

Is there a cost associated with getting staff inducted?

Yes. The cost is currently $42 pp plus GST.

My induction card has expired. What do I do?

Your employer is responsible for renewing your induction.

Where do I go to collect my induction card?

Induction cards can be collected 24/7 from either the Carrington Gatehouse (Engine House Road, Carrington) or the K2 Gatehouse (Heron Road, Kooragang).
You must have government issued photo ID and you will have your photo taken to upload into our access control system for the purpose of identification when accessing site.

I am a casual employee working for two different companies, do I need to be inducted by both?

Yes, to maintain integrity with the induction system, PON must be able to confirm the entity you are working for on any given day, is compliant in the PON induction system.
